As exclusively revealed by EFL Analysis, Championship side Norwich City are one of
a host of sides eyeing a potential deal for Notts County striker Alassana Jatta for the
summer transfer window. The Canaries haven’t been short of goal scoring options this
season, with Borja Sainz and USA striker Josh Sargent scoring a combined 30 goals for
Johannes Hoff Thorup’s Canaries, who have somewhat underperformed this season. For

Oxford United and Wycombe Wanderers are also among the sides interested in Alassana Jatta, who has scored 17 goals in 33 League Two games this season, as he has
helped Notts County be firmly in the promotion race, as they sit two points behind the
final automatic promotion place and six points behind out-of-form leaders Walsall. The
Gambian international could be a realistic option for Wycombe, as their prolific striker
Richard Kone will likely depart the club this summer for a substantial fee.
As for the Canaries, the before-mentioned Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent are likely to
depart the club this summer, with Sheffield United recently being linked with Sainz, who
is approaching the last 12 months of his contract. Sargent has longer left on his deal, as
it expires at the end of the 2027/28 season, so any potential deal for the American
would involve a hefty price tag, with the Premier League a likely destination.
Jatta has been a revelation for the Magpies since signing at the start of February last
year for £100,000 from Danish club Viborg FF, scoring 22 goals in 43 games for the club,
and if it wasn’t for injuries, he would be the top scorer in the division. As his contract
expires at the end of next season, he could go for a cheaper fee and is certainly one to
look out for in the summer as the transfer window approaches.
