Swansea City Sign Swedish Midfielder

Swansea City have begun their summer recruitment at the earliest stage possible, signing Swedish midfielder Zeidane Inoussa from BK Hacken.

The 21-year-old began his professional career with French side Caen. After several loan spells, including one to Valencia’s B Team, Inoussa returned home to Brommapojkarna.

After playing opportunities became limited, the young winger would make the move to BK Hacken, and it is here where the player would have his breakout campaign.

In the 2024 season, Inoussa netted 11 goals, including three in the teams UEFA Conference League campaign, alongside four assists.

Alan Sheehan, who has just been appointed as Swansea’s Head Coach, was delighted to already have a deal over the line.

It’s important that we carry this season’s momentum into next, and getting our first signing done this early is great. I’m looking forward to working with Zeidane. We want to be an aggressive team with and without the ball, and we believe he has all the attributes to do that and to make us better.”

Inoussa, whilst young, has the potential to really excite Swansea fans next season. A pacy winger who loves to take on defenders, with the ability to whip a ball into the box, or drive past and score goals himself.

Boss Sheehan has stated he wants his new look Swansea to be aggressive with and without the ball, Inoussa fits that bill.

The 21-year-old has represented Sweden at youth levels from U17 to U21 level, with his talent being visible to those in the national team set up, it was only a matter of time before larger leagues in Europe would take a chance on the player.

Inoussa has reportedly signed a 5-year deal, with a fee of around £6 million being paid to BK Hacken.

An exciting player through the door to kick off the Sheehan era in Swansea.
