Liverpool player Lewis Koumas is attracting transfer attention from both Sheffield United and now Norwich City after an impressive campaign last term with Stoke City, according to Football Leauge World.
The 19-year-old wide man already had previous interest from Sheffield United, but as Norwich enter the race it could provide the Liverpool winger with two perfect opportunities as the Championship pair look set to battle it out for his signature ahead of the 2025/2026 campaign.
Canaries Keen On Koumas
Norwich are looking to add to their attack this summer, as Liam Manning’s squad look set to prepare for a strong campaign, with Koumas one of a few targets on the list that City want to bring to Carrow Road.
The Canaries will most likely need two new wide men, as Borja Sainz looks set to depart Norfolk leaving a big hole in Norwich’s attacking threats.
Koumas could be a fantastic addition, as his first taste of the EFL Championship last season proved that he is capable at this level, and of course with good form comes natural interest from clubs this summer, as has been the case.
Norwich May Well Win The Race Despite Blades Links
Although the promise of playing for Sheffield United and achieving a promotion to the Premier League would be a special move for Koumas, choosing Carrow Road over Bramall Lane is a brilliant avenue for the Liverpool winger to take as he looks to bolster his career.
Sheffield United currently hold a much stronger attacking line that Norwich do, which would mean the 19-year-old could face long periods without first team minutes under Ruben Selles, and that wouldn’t be ideal for Koumas at this important stage of his career development.
Therefore, moving to Norfolk this summer could be the right choice. Working under a coach in Liam Manning who is renowned for his outstanding ability to get the best out of younger players could be the move that takes Koumas to the next level in his career.
There is every chance this year that Norwich could well be pushing for promotion with a few extra fresh faces and a new coach, which would also quell any substantial concerns the Liverpool Winger may have over The Canaries’ competitiveness.
Time will tell where Koumas could end up this summer, but already in the early phases of this transfer battle, a leader has emerged.
Norwich may hold the upper hand in signing the 19-year-old, and, for us, it may be the move the Welshman is hunting for at this stage.
