Lincoln City have a fairly strong squad heading into the new season with 25+ players on the books, albeit some will head out on loan but the Imps rarely run with a big squad.
Much of their business model is to sign young and sell on for a profit, and they rank in the lower half of League One for wages and fees paid.

Cohen Bramall
Former Portsmouth and Rotherham left back Bramall has been with the Imps before so he knows how the club work, arriving in 2021 he’d make 46 appearances at Sincil Bank (sorry the LNER stadium) before Rotherham came calling and met his release clause.
Could the temptation of a move back to Lincoln be strong enough for the 29 year old?
Brandon Fleming
25 year old Fleming has been with Hull City for most of his life and has spent quite a bit of time out on loan including last season when he was at Forest Green Rovers. Having now been released by Hull City, Fleming will be looking to ply his trade elsewhere.
Could the short trip down the A15 be exactly what he needs to resurrect his career and find a solid run of games?
George Harmon
Another looking to resurrect his career is George Harmon having spent the last three years north of the border with Ross County where he made 82 appearances. His career begun at West Brom before he moved onto Oxford City before the move to Scotland.
Having enjoyed a fruitful spell, could Harmon be ready to come home? Or is he enjoying Scotland too much?
Wildcard – Harry Toffolo
This is a dream to most Imps fans and let’s be honest the 29 year old can definitely play higher and would be a steal for a Championship side, could sentiment play a part though with Michael Skubala’s side helping massively with Toffolo’s development!
Admittedly this isn’t one I can see happening but if it does I’ll be like a kid at Christmas! This is why it’s a wildcard though, it’s not impossible, but it’s unlikely!
The Imps also look set to sign centre back Ryley Towler from Portsmouth, with the 23 year old set to undergo a medical with the club. Skubala looks to have beaten off competition from a number of fellow League One sides including Luton Town for his signature.
