Two Bristol City Players Linked With Moves Away From Club

Reported by Darren Witcoop on X this morning, Bristol City striker Sinclair Armstrong and Zak Vyner are being heavily linked with moves away today, with Armstrong being subject to many loan offers from fellow Championship sides as well as League One clubs who look for a short term fix up top.

Furthermore, the Robins are also fighting it out to keep hold of Zak Vyner, as Wrexham AFC has submitted their third bid for Bristol City’s academy graduate, which is believed to be in the range of £2.5 million.

Armstrong’s Loan Interest Away From Bristol City

Sinclair Armstrong has found life difficult at Bristol City since his big money move from Championship rivals QPR, scoring on just three occasions in his 43 appearances, and currently finds himself frozen out of the starting eleven frequently, making three cameos off the bench so far this campaign, totalling a measly 50 minutes all together.

He currently seems to be Gerhard Struber’s fourth choice striker, as in their fixture versus Hull, Emil Riis Jakobsen, Harry Cornick and Fally Mayulu all got the nod ahead of him.

A drop down to League One or a lower Championship side could do Armstrong a huge favour to find some consistency in front of goal, with plenty of clubs circling for his signature, the Irish international could be one of the most heavily linked players today.

Vyner To Wrexham

Wrexham are no strangers to splashing the cash during a transfer window and have shown no signs of slowing down this summer, with club spending records being broken consistently!

Despite this spending, manager Phil Parkinson still doesn’t seem convinced by his defence, and with Dan Scarr and Tom O’Connor linked with moves away, they’ve launched a third attempt to bring Bristol City’s most regular starter Zak Vyner to Wales.

He’s hardly missed a game during the last two campaigns and has featured in all The Robins’ games thus far, playing every single minute, so there are clear signs that the third bid will likely be rejected, especially in the range of just £2.5 million, as Struber desires to keep hold of one of his most consistent performers.
