On Saturday, Blackpool host Lincoln City in League One and there is a question mark over a number of players for both teams ahead of the fixture.
Blackpool could potentially be without Oli Casey and James Husband. Casey missed the midweek fixture with Rotherham United whilst Husband left the field injured late on.
The Seasiders adapted to a back 3 as they ran out 3-0 winners against the Millers.
The Imps beat Barnsley 3-1 and will no doubt prove a sterner test for Ian Evatt’s side. Reeco Hackett scored twice with Tom Bayliss adding the other.
Lincoln City are without James Collins and Ben House for the foreseeable future and Michael Skubala admitted his side have some ‘tired bodies’ following the victory over the Tykes.
The Managers For Blackpool vs Lincoln City
Ian Evatt has won the last two games but the Seasiders are one of the divisions most unpredictable teams as they still sit in 21st in League One.
Michael Skubala has had a much smoother start to the season with the Imps sitting third (or joint second with Bradford City), Lincoln City have lost just twice in the league since the end of October.
The most recent defeat was the 3-2 defeat away at Wycombe, where the Chairboys scored a late winner.
Key Players
Blackpool have quality all over their squad but can’t seem to hit any consistency or seem to gel. They are adapting from Steve Bruce’s philosophy to Ian Evatt’s though.
The Seasiders boast players such as Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Ashley Fletcher, Josh Bowler and George Honeyman. When they hit form they will start climbing the table, There is no doubt about that.
Lincoln have the likes of Sonny Bradley and Tendayi Darikwa providing the experience but it’s their forward line that is the most exciting with the likes of Freddie Draper, Rob Street and Reeco Hackett up top, and that’s without the injured House and Collins!
This will be a tough fixture as anybody visiting Bloomfield Road will attest to. I can see this being a draw, depending which Blackpool show up!
