The Lower Tiers understands that Centre-back Jamie Fielding is wanted by Aldershot Town,
Woking and Wealdstone this summer.
The 25-year-old has primarily played the majority of his career in non-league apart from a
two-year-stint at Stevenage where he played three league games.
Fielding looked set to become the next big thing from non-league when Leicester City took
him on trial in 2019. Despite no move materialising, League Two clubs Forest Green and
Stevenage both offered him professional contracts.
He chose the latter but found it tough to make the step up. After making six appearances in
his fist three months, he was loaned out to St Albans of the National League South and then
loaned out again the season after to Braintree Town.
Unfortunately, Jamie Fielding has had to build himself back up after being released by
Stevenage in 2021.
The 2024/25 season was the best of his career so far. He missed just four league games
whilst contributing two goals and two assists.
Fielding has been described as a player who is composed on the ball, stops crosses and
shots extremely well and when at the top of his game, his duel winning ability is very strong.
With plenty of room for improvement given his age. This could be a real coup for Aldershot
Town, Wealdstone or Woking.
