Stockport County are one of the outfits that are looking to succeed in the remainder of the League One season, which finishes in May.
County, who were knocked out of the play-off semi-finals last season by Leyton Orient, come into the final months of this season in fifth place with the outfit just six points away from second place Lincoln City.
Meanwhile, with 19 matches of the season to go for the Hatters, there is arguably still time to close the gap to the Imps and to try and secure an automatic promotion place.
However, with teams such as Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers also competing at the top end of the English third tier, this will not be easy and will require quality.
One way in which Stockport could look to add skill is through the January transfer window which is approaching its final week.
With this in mind, County are closing in on the signing of Adama Sidibeh from Scottish outfit St. Johnstone with the two sides having agreed a deal worth £150,000 according to journalist Alan Nixon, reporting on his Patreon page.
Nixon has also revealed that the forward is finalising personal terms with both clubs waiting on a quick decision from the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile, the journalist also stated that County, who have remained patient, have offer a bumper deal to the player in an attempt to try and convince him to join.
Sidibeh has made 19 appearances in the Scottish Championship this season with St. Johnstone, scoring six times and providing four assists.
The 27-year-old also scored five times during World Cup qualification for Gambia as the country fell short of qualification to this year’s finals.
Now, with the opportunity for a move to Stockport on the cards, supporters could look towards Adama Sidibeh to see if he accepts the offer from County and signs for the club.
