As a right-footed midfielder, Weir could boost the amount of options available to Alexander in that position, with the Bantams arguably needing a backup to Jenson Metcalfe.

Furthermore, the forward completed 69 shots with 29 of them on target, as well as having 123 touches in opposition boxes.

With the former Sheffield Wednesday man having the ability to play as the main striker, this could be beneficial to the side as it adds more quality and depth in that position, with Paul Mullin and Ethan Wheatley departing the club.

However, with other sides arguably interested in the striker and the player in discussions with Blackpool over a new contract, Bradford City arguably need to offer a competitive deal if the club are to secure his services.

However, questions could arise around the striker’s ability to make the step up to a potential candidate for promotion in League One from a side that was relegated to League Two at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the Exeter striker’s contract runs until the summer of 2027, so this move would require the Bantams to pay a fee.

As well as this, the move to the Bantams may depend on how much they offer Town and Kabia, with Plymouth Argyle and Stoke City amongst other clubs in the race to sign the forward.
