Whilst fellow League Two promotion rivals Swindon Town, Walsall and MK Dons have been busy in the January transfer market so far, it’s now Bromley’s turn to make a signing as they have announced the arrival of 20-year-old winger Damola Ajayi from Tottenham Hotspur on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Who is Damola Ajayi?
Many people might not know this but Damola began his career in Bromley’s youth academy before he joined Spurs.
For Tottenham, the right winger has been a part of their U17 and U18 Premier League Cup double-winning side in 2022/23 and has also won the Premier League 2 in 2023/24.
His greatest highlight in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt however has to be where he featured and scored on his senior debut in a Europa League home win against Elfsborg in 2025 that later earned himself a Europa League Winners’ medal.

So far this season Damola has been out on loan at League One side Doncaster Rovers but will now be a key part of Bromley’s attack as they look to seal automatic promotion.
What will Damola Ajayi bring to Bromley?
With an experienced Corey Whitely entering the latter stages of his career, Damola Ajayi will offer exceptional pace down the right wing where he certainly isn’t afraid to take on his man.
Ajayi also has great agility and dribbling with an 88.9% successful dribbles rate – ranking in the top 2% of wingers in League One this campaign.
The winger will wear the number 25 shirt and follow in the footsteps of predecessor Danny Imray which is very fitting considering both have similar attacking qualities.
What Ajayi had to say…
Speaking to Bromley FC’s media team on YouTube, the new addition commented:
“I’ve always had that connection with Bromley […] the direction that the team’s going in now who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? It’s just a no-brainer to be honest.”
