Four Things Ryan One Will Bring To Lincoln City

League One side Lincoln City are set to sign Sheffield United forward Ryan One, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

As the Imps look to bolster their squad even further, Michael Skuabala’s side look set to beat Rotherham United to his signature.

Here we take a look at four things Ryan One will bring to the Imps:

Pace

Lincoln City already have a lethal front line, the likes of Freddie Draper, Reeco Hackett, Jack Moylan, Rob Street, Ben House and Erik Ring all currently interchange.

The loss of Frankie Okoronkwo who was recalled by Everton has hit the Imps, and it is thought that One would be a replacement for the former Salford City man.

Ryan One will bring his pace to the side, as the Imps look to terrify opposition defenders even further.

Competition

One will bring competition to the Imps. Meaning the likes of the names mentioned above can not rest on their laurels, because once you lose your place in this side, it’s not easy to regain it.

If the Imps are serious about promotion to the Championship then they will need everyone at their best and the signing of One can only strengthen the League One club.

International Honours

One has 10 Scotland caps, all the way from Under 21 level to the Under 17’s, so the Imps will be getting a player pushing for a Scotland cap or two with the main squad, as he looks to add to his current international chances.

Despite making 40 appearances for Hamilton Academical and Sheffield United, it is thought that a loan with the Imps will help the player progress, and possibly push his way into Scotland’s thinking.

Goals

Despite being just 19-years-old, One has made 57 appearances in all competitions for both Sheffield United and Hamilton Academicals.

He has scored five goals during that time so for a player of his years, he is definitely maturing and could push on with the Imps.

Lincoln City get a new signing, Ryan One gets gametime and Sheffield United get experience for their players. All three sides win in this deal and it’s up to One now to prove himself.

If successful could the Imps even look at a permanent deal?
