Sheffield Wednesday To Sign Manchester City Midfielder

Sheffield Wednesday are set to make their latest signing, with the club agreeing a deal for a Manchester City midfielder.

Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday are one of the sides aiming for success in the Championship this season.

However, so far, the side have faced many difficulties with the Owls having 18 points worth of points deduction whilst also being put into administration.

Furthermore, as a result of their points deduction, Wednesday are bottom of the league table currently and look destined for relegation to League One.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday are also out of the FA Cup following a 2-0 defeat to Brentford and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup against Grimsby Town.

With this occuring, the Owls can no longer win any domestic silverware and may instead turn their attention towards being competitive for the rest of this season and preparing for next season.

Now, Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a deal to sign Manchester City midfielder Jaden Heskey on loan until the end of the season, according to Football League World.

Furthermore, the outfit has stated that Wednesday have been long-term admirers of Heskey and will now secure his services.

The midfielder, who has played for Manchester City’s Under-21s this season, has made 14 appearances for the side in this season, including appearing nine times in Premier League 2.

Meanwhile, he has also been the captain of City’s Under-21s side and forms a key part of the side’s spine as the outfit strive for success.

As well as this, from a wider perspective, the midfielder has experienced large success with City during his time in their youth ranks with the 20-year-old winning the FA Youth Cup whilst winning Premier League 2 twice.

Now, fans of Wednesday may look towards the club to await an official announcement, with the loan spell becoming the first professional one of his career.

If he can replicate the levels he has performed at this season at Hillsborough, Jaden Heskey could help guide the team towards success.
