Michael Skubala Aims For Success In Pre-Stockport County Comments

Lincoln City and Stockport County are due to face off in the early kick-off, with the clash set to be a battle between two teams at the very top of League One.

The Imps go into the fixture top of the league following recent victories over promotion rivals Cardiff City and Exeter City.

Furthermore, at home this season, Michael Skubala’s side have picked up 43 points and have lost just once on their own turf.

Looking at Stockport, two wins in five games has raised the concerns of some supporters whilst also seeing Bradford City overtake them into fourth place.

The clash with Lincoln will also mark their fourth straight away game following previous fixtures with Burton Albion, Stevenage, and Doncaster Rovers.

Although, with just three points out of nine coming out of these games, the Hatters will arguably be aiming for more success.

Now, Lincoln City manager Michael Skubala has had this say with him stating: “We’re focussed on the next game, we’re not thinking about anything else and we’re looking at the three points that are available to us in what will be a really exciting game against a really tough team.

“This is a really tough game because we’ve been on the road, we’re going to have to be very prepared and we’re going to have to be good on the day to get three points.

“You can see the emotions at the end of a game and how the players are connected to the fans and that’s how it needs to be for the run in, we need the fans to get behind us.”

With Michael Skubala acknowledging his tough the game with Stockport is set to be, the game could be a tussle between the two sides with three crucial points at the end of the tunnel for whichever side takes their chances.
