MK Dons and Swindon Town are set to face off in a top-of-the-table clash which could have implications on the promotion race as it enters its final stages.
The Dons, who have won their last two games, come into the fixture sitting second in the league.
Furthermore, with a win and a draw or loss for Bromley, Paul Warne’s side could end the day top of England’s fourth tier.
Looking at the game from Swindon’s perspective, Ian Holloway’s side occupy a seven-point gap to Chesterfield and Crewe Alexandra, who both sit on 56 points currently.
Should Town win in front of their home supporters, they could extend their gap to the team in eighth to ten points, further helping to establish the side as a serious promotion contender.
Now, MK Dons have been hit with a major boost for the game.
Speaking to the press ahead of the clash with Swindon, Warne stated: “All of a sudden, I have four more weapons potentially available than I did on Tuesday.
“Whether they are involved will depend on how sharp I think they are when I watch training back. It’s good news from a playing point of view, and from a leadership point of view.
“If those four are in the travelling party, I know how that impacts the players in front of them.
“They are very good players who want their shirts back, and if it keeps the standards up of the players in front of them, they’re doing something without really doing anything.
“If Natty [Nathaniel Mendez-Laing] is warming up, or he’s on the team-sheet on Saturday, as an opposition manager I’d be thinking ‘oh no, not him’ and Curtis Nelson too, he’s a potent player in both boxes, and Will [Collar] was playing really well before he got injured too.
“It’s always about the team, the chemistry of everyone and next man up.”
Supporters could look to see if these four players return and whether they have an impact in a pivotal, top-of-the-table encounter.
