According to Pete O’Rourke, QPR youngster Alfie Lloyd has completed his medical for a loan move to League One Lincoln City F.C. This move comes after having played for Leyton Orient for the first half of the 2025-26 season. However after joining The O’s injured Lloyd struggled to gain many minutes. Alfie Lloyd’s career so far.
After climbing the youth ranks at home town club Yeovil Town, Lloyd was quickly snapped up by QPR and has had loan moves to both Eastleigh and Leyton Orient respectively. Now Lloyd takes his talents to The Imps for the rest of the season and helping them continue their amazing season.
Alfie Lloyd is still just only 22 years old but has plenty of strengths he has that will boost The Imps for the remainder of the season.
One of the main things Lloyd has is his adaptability to play multiple positions offensively, with his key positions being on the left flank and through the middle. Lloyd brings options to Lincoln City on how they want to challenge their opposition.
Lloyd’s pace and physicality work hand in hand in how he plays. Being able to create chances, attack open spaces and build pressure on the opposition. With Lincoln’s counter attacking style of play. Lloyd can be perfect to spread defences and punish if he’s left alone.
Another thing Lloyd brings to The Imps is his raw ability, at only 22 years old Lloyd is still refining his craft, for some this could be an issue but with Skubala in charge. Lloyd will hit new heights.
Both on and off the pitch one thing many QPR fans love is Lloyd’s personality. For such a young player, Lloyd has amazing professionalism whilst also being a great player in the team atmosphere. Having players like Lloyd in the squad really helps push teams through the course of the season. With Lincoln wanting to keep their momentum going and make it to the EFL Championship Lloyd may be a pivotal part of the squad’s dynamic.
Although he can be injury prone, Lloyd is a fantastic young player with a lot of talent. Personally I believe that Imps boss Michael Skubala will help show the best of Alfie Lloyd so far.
What do you think of this loan move? Have Lincoln City made the right choice choosing the 22-year-old?
