A Bit About Us: In August 2021, our founder started posting from a new X (Twitter at the time) account, The Lower Tiers, to help put his skills that he had learnt by being a sports journalism student to use. As huge fans of EFL football, we have always felt that it deserved more coverage because of its constant drama, weird but wonderful stories and community feel.
The account then became well-received and our founder discovered a real enjoyment in doing it so he decided to build a presence on Instagram and teach himself how to use Photoshop. This helped give The Lower Tiers a more professional look. Again, our founder loved making posts for Instagram and he still continues to do so.
After almost four years of The Lower Tiers, it's time to make the next step. This website is a simple blog to start off with but we aim to make it the go-to place for fans of EFL clubs to come for news, in-depth articles, live scores and more.
Thanks to our presence on social media, we've managed to form various contacts within the game which helps us dig deep to uncover exclusives before anyone else. See our EXCLUSIVES tab in the header for some examples of this.
We've now released the new-look website after an initial successful testing phase. The new-look gives The Lower Tiers a more slick and professional feel which will encourage people to come back to the site.
