Birmingham City are due to face Swansea City on Saturday evening, with the fixture kicking off at 17:30.

The Bluenoses, who were promoted from League One last season (with a record points record), currently sit 14th in the league with 34 points.

Meanwhile, the Swans sit three places lower in 17th with the side picking up 32 points in their matches so far this campaign.

With this in mind, both sides could be looking towards the game as an opportunity to pick up crucial points in their bid to succeed this season.

Meanwhile, the game could offer an opportunity for Championship fans to see what the Blues look like currently.

Now, ahead of the game, Birmingham manager Chris Davies has been previewing the fixture, whilst speaking about key issues relating to the club currently.

In this preview, Davies has confirmed that up to six players are set to miss the fixture.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, via Birmingham Mail, the manager stated: “He’s [Jack Robinson] picked up a little bit of a knock and is a doubt for this match, which is a shame because he’s been doing pretty well recently and has just got going.

“That’s something we could have to contend with.

Meanwhile, speaking about striker Jay Stansfield, Davies said: “He’s getting better, definitely, so there’s a good chance he could be back involved. We will see how the next day or so goes.”

As well as this, Bright Osayi-Samuel isn’t due to return from Africa Cup of Nations duty until next week, meaning he will miss the fixture.

Furthermore, the Blues are expected to be without Demarai Gray, Alex Cochrane, Ethan Laird and Lee Buchanan again.

With this update now received, Birmingham City fans may look towards the fixture to see what the squad looks like for the game.
