Blackburn Rovers To Make Improved Offer For Sheffield Wednesday Striker

Blackburn Rovers are aiming for success in the Championship this season but have faced challenges which have seen the outfit 22nd in the league currently.

Having picked up 29 points this season, Blackburn will be looking to climb out of the relegation zone and to create a gap between themselves and the drop zone.

With this in mind, having an effective goal-scoring ability will be pivotal. Rovers have scored 26 times this season with their top scorer (Andri Gudjohnsen) netting six times in the campaign so far.

Now, Blackburn Rovers have set-out their plan to make a new offer for Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri according to Alan Nixon on his Patreon account.

Nixon has also stated that the outfit have contacted Wednesday’s administrators about the striker and an offer for him.

Meanwhile, according to the journalist, Blackburn’s offer is higher but still below the level Wednesday hope to get for one of their remaining players.

As well as this, Nixon has revealed that Rovers initially saw Bailey Cadamarteri as a long-term option but he has now become a live option to improve the depth in the striker position.

Cadamarteri was also wanted by SPFL side Hibs who made a low cash plus extras bid for the forward according to Alan Nixon.

The forward has made 28 Championship appearances for Sheffield Wednesday this season, scoring twice. Meanwhile, he has also created 14 chances and had 20 successful dribbles showing his ability to work successfully when on the ball.

For Blackburn Rovers, the signing of the 20-year-old could offer the creativity and energy that is needed in the striker position.

However, no assumptions can be made until a decision is completed by Wednesday on the short-term future of Cadamarteri and whether this is with the Owls or another club in the EFL or other leagues.
