Bradford City have had a bid rejected for a League One forward as they look for reinforcements before the window slams shut on Monday.

Bradford City have made no secret of needing to add further additions ahead of the transfer window closing on Monday. Graham Alexander’s side have struggled for goals, scoring just one goal in the past three matches after being strong promotion contenders.
The League One club appear to have dipped in form, and that has alerted them to needing more quality with no less than three strikers being linked with the club. Paul Mullin and Kayden Jackson, from Derby County and Wrexham respectively, have been mentioned.
Manchester United forward Ethan Wheatley has also been strongly linked.
Another name linked is Jake Beesley from Burton Albion, who is the Brewers top scorer with nine goals and he also has six assists too this season. It has now come to light, via Pete O’Rourke, that Bradford City have had a six-figure fee rejected for the forward.
The 29-year-old has had spells with Salford City, Solihull Moors, Rochdale and Blackpool before joining the Brewers this campaign. The forward has scored 45 goals across his career, highlighting just why Bradford City are interested in securing his services.
Burton will be desperate to keep hold of their star man and with him being under contract until at least the summer of 2027, Bradford will have to come back with a much better offer.
Albion are also trying hard to keep hold of their captain Udoka Godwin-Malife, with the defenders being strongly linked with League Two side Salford City.
As mentioned, Bradford’s season has hit a blip and the loss of stars Andy Cook, Brad Halliday and Alex Pattison hasn’t helped recently. Both Stephen Humphrys and Will Swan have tried to help their side but neither are as prolific as Beesley.
Humphrys is arguably more a winger, and signing a striker would free him up to go back to his natural position.
With Bradford City needing a forward, the question remains, which one will arrive in West Yorkshire?
