Bradford City lost to Lincoln City on Tuesday evening, with the Imps extending their good form in the league.
The game finished 3-0 with strikes from Fredie Draper, Jack Moylan and Ben House deciding the game despite.
As a result of the game, Lincoln are now nine points clear of Bradford with the Imps having played 28 games and the Bantams having played 27 games.
Furthermore, the Bantams also lost ground on Bolton Wanderers and Stockport County, who are now three points clear of the West Yorkshire outfit following their victories against Burton Albion and Blackpool.
Now, the Bradford City players have been reacting to the game, with Sam Walker expressing his disappointment.
Speaking to Bradford’s media team, via the Club’s official website, Walker stated: “It was a difficult game.
“We came here with all the intentions of writing the wrongs of the Huddersfield game. We have not done that, and it has been a difficult evening.
“A big part of our game is putting teams under pressure and forcing mistakes. We did not do that well enough tonight.
Lincoln are a really good team and played well. The onus is on us now to put the wrongs of the last few games behind us, put in a great performance and get back
to what we do best.”
“I am conscious of saying things now because it will be our actions on the pitch which matter most.”
Whilst disappointment was at the centre of the goalkeeper’s comments, the former Chalton Athletic man also stated:
“All the lads are keen to end this run. It is about coming back to training, assessing where we can improve to get back to winning ways, and getting right back to it.
“I think we are fortunate to have another game coming up in quick succession where we can rebound.”
Now, and the rest of the Bradford City squad could turn their attention towards this weekend, where they host Doncaster Rovers.
In the reverse fixture in the league, Bradford lost 3-1 following goals from Luke Molyneux, Jordan Gibson and Billy Sharp, with a finish from Bradford player Will Swan.
