Bradford City are aiming for success in the later stages of this season with the Bantams now fifth in League One following their defeat to Lincoln City on Tuesday evening.

City, who were top of the league after the first ten games, have recently suffered a set-back in their quest for automatic promotion with defeats to Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town, and Lincoln seeing the Bantams lose sight of the Imps in second place.

However, with a large portion of the season still to go, Bradford supporters will be hoping for an upturn (both in form and confidence) to increase their chances of promotion.

One way in which this upturn could be achieved is through the final days of the January transfer window. So far this month, the Bantams have signed Louie Sibley, Harrison Ashby, and Joe White.

Meanwhile, the University of Bradford Stadium outfit have also been linked with a move for Devante Cole whilst a deal for Ethan Wheatley appears to be close too.

Now, according to Football League World, Bradford City and Luton Town are among a number of League One sides that are battling for the services of Burton Albion striker Jake Beesley.

Beesley has played 26 times for Albion in the league this season, scoring nine times and providing four assists.

As well as this, the League Two winner has created 22 chances and had nine successful dribbles.

Meanwhile, Jake Beesley is under contract until the end of next season, whilst Burton hold an optional one-year extension clause in the deal.

With multiple League One sides interested in the striker and with the contract terms, Bradford could find it difficult to agree a deal and fee.

Although, if they do, they will be adding to a position that is needed if they are to succeed at the end of this season.
