Bristol Rovers

Joe Quigley, 6’4, is believed to be on the radar of The Gas.

The Oldham striker has 4 goal contributions in 19 League Two appearances this season.

The 29 year old has largely been utilised at Oldham as more of an impact sub for his physicality.

Joe Quigley: Player Profile

Quigley started his career at Bournemouth, and eventually earnt a professional contract at The Cherries in 2015.

Loan deals would follow for Quigley, including a spell at Wrexham and Gillingham amongst others between 2015-2018.

Quigley would go on to be released at Bournemouth, before joining Maidstone United.

The strikers stay would be short lived, joining Bromley just a month later.

Again Quigley failed to make any real impact, with loans following and eventually ending up joining Yeovil.

It was Yeovil where Quigley first found any goal scoring form, getting 16 goals in 54 appearances.

Chesterfield made their move for Quigley, signing a two and a half year contract with the Spireits and scoring 21, assisting with Chesterfields National League title in 23/24.

A spell at Forest Green followed before ending up at Oldham where he is presently.

Why Bristol Rovers Should Sign Joe Quigley

For The Gas, Quigley offers plenty of experience across the lower leagues.

The know-how of the journeyman striker could be crucial in maintaining the clubs status in League Two.

Quigley offers Steve Evans side physicality, the 29 year old winning almost 60% of his aerial duels for Oldham this season.

This offers Bristol Rovers a focal point up front which may give Steve Evans diversity in options.

Steve Evans believes the club would be busy during the latter stages of the January transfer window, and this looks to be the case.

Could these signings help Bristol Rovers secure their place in League Two next season?
