A number of outfits from the English second tier have been reported to be taking an interest in the midfielder.

Several Championship clubs are reportedly monitoring Bradford City’s Jenson Metcalfe following an impressive first half of the season for the 21-year-old midfielder according to Pete O’Rourke.
Metcalfe joined the Bantams last summer from Everton, and despite taking a while to break into the city side, he has firmly established himself with some stellar performances in League One.
He has netted twice with two almost identical finishes from outside the box and has played a big part in the position that the Bantams find themselves in.
His defensive numbers are also very impressive, with an average of seven duels won per game and over three successful tackles per game.
One of the main reasons that Metcalfe has developed so quickly may well be the influence of experienced partner Max Power, who is no doubt mentoring his midfield partner.
However, Metcalfe signed a three-year contract in West Yorkshire, which runs until the summer of 2028 and with Bradford City highly reluctant to let him go, it is understood that any suitors will have to wait until the end of this season at the earliest.
Jenson Metcalfe himself will most likely want to see the season out at Valley Parade, as this is his first experience of League One football and only his second full season of men’s football following his loan at Chesterfield last campaign.
Bradford have already seen seven departures in January, including the departure of midfielder Alex Pattison to Walsall, so depth in the midfield area is already wearing thin, even with Metcalfe remaining at the club.
These reports only add to what will already be a busy deadline day for Graham Alexander as he looks to make the additions that will hopefully see his side to a top-six finish in League One.
