3 EFL Championship sides; Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, and Charlton Athletic are in the process of bidding for former Wales international; Tom Lawrence.
Lawrence is currently at A-League side Perth Glory and is in rich form, sparking the interest of the aforementioned sides.
The Welsh winger, formerly of Derby County signed for the Australian side in October. His first appearance came the following week in a 2-2 draw with New Zealand side, Wellington Pheonix.
The Wrexham-born winger began his youth surrounded by some of the best future stars.
His talent was evident from a young age, earning him a place in the Manchester United academy; he would make only a brief appearance for United’s senior team before moving out on loan spells.
The winger had spells at, Carlisle United, Yeovil Town, and later Ipswich Town.
He proved himself capable of influencing games with his direct running and powerful long‑range shooting.
His season at Ipswich in particular showcased his potential. Lawrence scored 11 in 36, as he became one of the Championship’s standout attacking midfielders.

A permanent move to Derby County in 2017 marked the beginning of Lawrence’s most stable and influential period.
Over five seasons, he became a central figure at the club, contributing goals, assists, and leadership during both promising campaigns and difficult times.
His ability to play across the front line made him invaluable to multiple managers.
Later on, his willingness to take responsibility in big moments earned him the captain’s armband. The Welshman played 185 times for The Rams, netting 37, and assisting 16.
Lawrence moved to Rangers in the Scottish Premiership in July 2022. Lawrence’s time in Scotland was affected by injuries.
However, he made contributions in both domestic league and European fixtures when available. His technical ability and experience added depth to the Rangers squad during his tenure.
On the international stage, Lawrence has represented Wales at youth levels and has earned more than 20 senior caps since making his debut in 2015.
He has scored multiple goals for the national team and has been involved in UEFA European Championship qualification campaigns, contributing as a squad player across several cycles.
