A Coventry City midfielder is set to go on loan to Scotland, with Hibernian following a Motherwell loan last season.

Highly rated Coventry City Centre mid Kai Andrews is set to head back out to Scotland with Hibernian, as per Pete O’Rourke. He spent the previous season on loan at Motherwell.
Kai Andrews, who is a Coventry City academy product is set to get his second professional loan move to Scotland after spending the second half of the 24/25 season with Motherwell, where he would make 12 appearances and even get a call up to the Welsh national team under former Coventry player turned manager Craig Bellamy.
The 19 year old midfielder has made 7 league appearances for the Sky Blues this season, with starts coming in both Cup competitions against Luton Town and Millwall in the Carabao cup and Stoke City in the FA cup.
He made his debut for the Welsh National team on the 9th of September after he was substituted on in the 70th minute of a friendly against Canada. He was one of 2 Coventry players on the pitch at the time, with fellow teammate Jay Dasilva also playing at left back.
Coventry manager Frank Lampard has previously said on Andrews:
“He’s a good player, still very, very young but he can be a competitive player for us. He can challenge and will improve.” So Frank will be hoping that the opportunity for key first team minutes up in Edinburgh will do him the world of good.
This move may also sanction a potential incoming for the Sky Blues, with reports coming out from Sky Sports saying that Coventry City are the “favourites” over Sheffield United for the signature of Frank Onyeka of Brentford, a midfielder registered to the first team heading out the door and freeing up the necessary spot for one extra spot on the squad may be a subtle hint of what’s to come.
