Founded in 1877, Crewe Alexandra are a proud Cheshire club affectionately known as “The Railwaymen,” reflecting the town’s railway heritage. Playing at Gresty Road (The Alexandra Stadium) since 1906, Crewe have long been recognised for their outstanding youth academy, which has produced stars such as David Platt, Danny Murphy, and Dean Ashton. With a history built on development, community, and identity, Crewe continue to uphold their traditions in League Two, representing one of the EFL’s most enduring and respected football institutions.
