Derby County have accepted an offer for the midfielder as they aim to slim down their squad in the transfer window.

Derby County are one of the sides that are currently competing in the Championship, as they look to progress and improve.
The Rams, who sit 13th in the league ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, have been largely equal in their campaign so far with them winning nine games whilst losing the same amount of games.
Furthermore, County have drawn eight times whilst also scoring and conceding the same number of goals (35) leaving them with 35 points currently heading into the later stages of the season.
With this in mind, the Rams could look to use the January transfer window as an opportunity to boost the quality of their squad and to give themselves a better chance of improving their final league finish in May.
However, to do this, Derby may also need to let players go (to both increase the wage budget available and to free up squad space).
So far this month, County have let Owen Beck go as he returned to Liverpool whilst Curtis Nelson also departed the club to join MK Dons on a permanent deal.
Meanwhile, Darren Robinson also joined Doncaster Rovers permanently.
Now, Derby County have accepted an offer for midfielder Ebou Adams from Portsmouth, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke on his X account.
Meanwhile, O’Rourke has also revealed that the midfielder is set for talks and a medical with Pompey.
Adams joined County in July 2024 and has made 72 appearances, scoring seven goals, in his time at the club so far.
Adams also has experience with other sides such as Cardiff City and Norwich City helping him to gain more experience in the Championship.
Now, with these reports now emerging, it appears that Ebou Adams could be approaching the end of his Derby club career and could instead be moving south to Portsmouth.
