Founded in 1901 (originally as St Sidwell’s United) and now based at St James Park in Exeter, Devon, Exeter City — nicknamed “The Grecians” — have a rich heritage in English football. The club became a founder member of the Football League’s Third Division in 1920 and are widely respected for their community ownership model via their Supporters’ Trust. After a period in the Conference between 2003 and 2008, Exeter won promotion back to the EFL and today compete in League One, carrying forward a legacy of resilience, local pride, and steady progression.
