Fleetwood Town goalkeeper David Harrington is hopeful of leaving Fleetwood Town before the end of the January transfer window, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke

25-year-old Harrington has aspirations of being called up to the Wales squad and believes a move up the pyramid would help him achieve these aspirations.

Here we will take a look at three clubs he could potentially sign for:

Port Vale

Port Vale sit bottom of League One and have just changed manager, Jon Brady taking over from Darren Moore at Vale Park.

Vale sit 11 points from safety and with Ben Amos and Joe Gauci it could be argued that they have two solid goalkeepers, however, could Harrington be an upgrade on the two mentioned?

Plymouth Argyle

Fellow strugglers Plymouth sit in 16th in the standings, much of the hope prior to the season starting was of a play-off push but this looks highly unlikely at present unless their form improves.

In 16 games, Conor Hazard has just five clean sheets so could Argyle be looking elsewhere for a safer pair of hands, and if this is the case, could it potentially be David Harrington?

Leyton Orient

The most likely of the three is Leyton Orient. Orient sit 18th but have just lost their keeper in Tommy Simkin who was recalled by Stoke City.

This has left Orient with just Killian Cahill and Noah Phillips as their two senior goalkeepers.

Cahill has 17 appearances to his name since his move from Brighton and Hove Albion but Phillips is yet to make his debut for Orient.

Conclusion

Any of the three clubs would be lucky to sign Harrington, who has seven clean sheets this season already.

Going off the most likely, Leyton Orient seems the most hopeful, however, all three clubs could have an interest.

Could money and location be a factor?

Where would you like to see Harrington end up?
