Four Luton players have been linked away from the Hatters as the window draws to a close.

It is being reported today that a quartet of players are being linked with a move away from Luton Town as the transfer window draws to a close.
Therefore, we looked at what players could be leaving, and what this could mean for Luton as we approach the end of the window.
Pete O’Rourke has today reported that Oxford are in talks to sign Christ Makosso from Luton.
It is not yet reported whether the deal is a permanent transfer or a loan deal. However with Oxford manager Matt Bloomfield having strong connections to Luton, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to see this deal materialise.
This would leave Luton slightly vulnerable at centre back as the window closes, with Kal Naismith, Teden Mengi, Nigel Lonwijk and Mads Andersen as their only fit options at centre back currently.
Hatters boss Jack Wilshere has also deployed Lonwijk primarily as a right back in recent months, leaving Luton with only three senior options to play centre back currently.
Wilshere has also urged Tom Holmes to find a move away from the Hatters after the conclusion of his loan deal to Rotherham United, meaning it is unlikely that he will replace Makosso in Lutons side.
Makosso is clearly unfavored by Wilshere, only starting two league matches in his tenure as Luton boss.
This makes a move away from Kenilworth Road more likely, with Oxford moving to get the deal done for the Congolese international.
Similarly to Makosso, former Luton manager Matt Bloomfield looks poised to sign another player from the Hatters.
According to Christopher Reidy of Sky Sports, Oxford have had an approach turned down for Isaiah Jones.
Unlike the Makosso transfer, it has been reported that Luton have turned this approach down, however it is still unclear whether Oxford are set to make a further bid for the winger.
Jones is currently sidelined by injury, however he could be pushed further down the pecking order when he returns, with Luton Town recently signing Emilio Lawrence on loan from Manchester City to play the same position as Jones.
This deal would leave the Hatters short on time to replace Jones, who has struggled to maintain a starting position since his transfer from Middlesborough last January.
According to Rob Staton, relegation threatened Sheffield Wednesday are looking to sign Jerry Yates on loan.
This deal looks even more likely to happen with Pete O’Rourke also reporting that Yates is heading to Sheffield to complete a medical with Wednesday.
Since his transfer to Luton, Yates has struggled to impress, recording two goals in 22 league appearances this season.
With Luton Town recently being linked to Devante Cole, this deal could materialise in the late days of the window.
Yates was left out of the Hatters squad to face Huddersfield on Tuesday, potentially signalling a move away could be imminent.
Furthermore, Pete O’Rourke has reported that Yates is set to undergo his medical ahead of a move to the Owls, therefore arguably confirming the move.
Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri has also been loosely linked with Luton in recent weeks, is a swap deal set to materialise?
It doesn’t stop there for strikers that Luton have been linked with, with Burton Albion forward Jake Beesley also being linked with the Hatters, potentially leaving space for Yates to leave.
In a whirlwind day for Luton outgoings, Alex Miller has now reported that Sheffield Wednesday are weighing up a loan move for Marvelous Nakamba.
A true cult hero for Luton fans, Nakamba now looks set to leave the Hatters following an successful tenure at the club following his initial loan move from Aston Villa in 2023, that eventually materialised into a permanent transfer that Summer, following Luton’s promotion to the Premier League.
Nakamba has only featured once in the league this season, being unfavored by both Wilshere and Bloomfield.
Since moving permanently to the Hatters, Nakamba has only played 38 league matches across almost 3 years at the club, and it seems like he may have already played his last game in a Luton shirt, with his contract reportedly expiring this summer.
Luton have strengthened in centre midfield this January, bringing in Kasey Palmer on loan from Hull City, who has started both of the games he has been available in for Luton so far this season.
This may leave the door open for Nakamba to leave, and Sheffield Wednesday look poised to land his signature at this stage.
