Founded in 1878 as Grimsby Pelham, the club adopted the name Grimsby Town a year later and have played at Blundell Park since 1899. Nicknamed “The Mariners,” they enjoyed a golden era in the 1930s, spending eight seasons in England’s top flight and reaching two FA Cup semi-finals.
