The 22-year-old striker joined the club from Blackburn Rovers on deadline day in the summer transfer window for a reported fee of £1 million.
Leonard initially struggled to make an impact under Darren Ferguson, but since Luke Williams’ arrival, his confidence, movement, and overall game have noticeably improved.

The month ended with a 1–1 draw against Reading, where Leonard again played a key role in the move that led to the equaliser.
Leonard faces tough competition in the fans’ Player of the Month race from Bailey Peacock-Farrell (Blackpool), Bojan Radulovic and Leo Castledine (Huddersfield Town), Lewis Wing (Reading), and Yousef Salech (Cardiff City).
All enjoyed excellent months, but few influenced their team’s momentum quite like Peterborough’s number nine.
To an outsider, Leonard’s numbers may not tell the full story, but his work rate, intelligence, and impact spoke volumes on the pitch.
