His versatility for Huddersfield has definitely aided his breakthrough into the team.

Ashia made his Huddersfield debut in September 2024 during a Vertu Trophy match vs Doncaster Rovers which the terriers lost 2-1, after this Ashia didn’t make an appearance for the remainder of the 24/25 season.

He attempts to use his skilful ability to penetrate through defence causing a consistent threat with his finesse shooting with a few goals to his name using this technique, such as his goal against Leicester in the EFL cup.

On The Move To Where?

Rangers are one of the clubs interested in acquiring Ashias signature come the expiration of his contract at the end of the season and could potentially bring up a pre contract agreement to beat other clubs to his signature.

The source states a number of unnamed EFL championship clubs look interested in the youngster and may join the race for his signature in the summer.

Why Should Huddersfield Town Attempt To Keep Him?

Ashia is one of two wingers in the Huddersfield squad, Will Alves being the other who will depart the club upon the conclusion of his loan from Leicester at the end of the season. Huddersfield losing Ashia would cause a major lack of depth in the wide areas of the squad.

One of the main reasons Ashia is attracting interest from other clubs is his contract situation, if Huddersfield manage to secure Ashia on a longer contract they may be able to sell Ashia in the future to a substantial transfer fee rather than on a free transfer.

However due to Huddersfield’s promotion hopes fading, a new contract may become out of reach for the Yorkshire club, as 20 year old Ashia may have a desire to develop his career at a higher standard which Huddersfield may struggle to offer.
