Stevenage are aiming for prolonged success but could be losing a midfielder following reports linking Ipswich to him.

Stevenage are one of the sides aiming for success in League One this season.
The side, who are managed by Alex Revell, currently sit seventh in the division following the first 21 games of the season.
Furthermore, in this period, Boro have picked up 36 points whilst also winning ten games.
As well as this, in comparison to last year, the side are seven places up.
However, having dropped out of the play-off places following Monday’s games, Revell’s men may view the January transfer window as an opportunity to prepare for a promotion push.
But, whilst recruitment may form the main part of the transfer focus, retaining players may also be important.
Now, Premier League side AFC Bournemouth and Championship side Ipswich Town have been named as two sides tracking the services of Ryan Doherty, according to Pete O’Rourke.
Doherty, who came through the Stevenage youth academy, signed a scholarship agreement with the club in 2024 and made his debut in October of last year, in his first year as a scholar.
Through doing this, the midfielder became Boro’s youngest ever starter and outfield player.
Following this, the 17-year-old joined Isthmian League Premier Division side Potters Bar Town on loan in January 2025.
During this spell, he made five appearances before being recalled by Stevenage in February.
After this, in August 2025, the midfielder signed his first professional contract with Boro, marking a major step in the prospects of him having a successful future career in football.
With the link made between Ryan Doherty and both AFC Bournemouth and Ipswich Town, fans may look towards Stevenage to see if any updates are provided on this rumour.
Meanwhile, with the January window nearly here, Doherty may have to make a quick decision about his future should this rumour be true.
