Charlton Athletic are closing in on the signing of Stockport County striker Issac Olaofe. This comes as a part of Athletic’s summer recruitment.

Charlton Athletic are aiming to strengthen their squad this summer. This is due to their play-off promotion to the EFL Championship. This signing is reported to be worth a large fee with both clubs currently figuring out a fee.

The EFL Championship club are also set to agree personal terms with Olaofe shortly to allow him to join the club. This transfer rumour follows a report by journalist Alan Nixon.

His contributions were an essential part of Stockport County’s third place finish in EFL League One last season. This has led some Hatters fans to believe that Olaofe could make the step up to the EFL Championship next season.

Firstly, Issac Olaofe typically plays in a striker role. However, he can also play in an attacking midfield and right winger role. This shows his versatility and adaptability.
