Swansea City are emerging as favourites to bring Jesurun Rak-Sakyi to the club on loan from Crystal Palace this January.
The 23-year-old winger is set to be recalled from his loan spell with Çaykur Rizespor in Turkey, and the Swans are understood to be leading the race for his signature.
Rak-Sakyi has impressed in the Turkish Super Lig this season, scoring four goals in 11 appearances, and Swansea see him as a player who can add pace, creativity, and goal threat to the attack.
Swansea are joined by interest from Sheffield United and Coventry City, but the club are confident of making progress as the window advances.
The winger first caught attention during an outstanding loan spell with Charlton Athletic in 2022–23, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists in League One.
His performances earned him a shot at Crystal Palace, where he featured in six Premier League games before a hamstring injury curtailed his season.
A loan move to Sheffield United last season helped Rak-Sakyi regain form and fitness, and now a Championship return represents the next step in his development.
Swansea see him as a player who can make an immediate impact on the team.
Head coach Vítor Matos has acknowledged the club’s interest.
“Rak-Sakyi is a good player, of course,” he said. “He’s someone that had an impact last season with Sheffield United, with Charlton before as well, so of course he’s someone really interesting.
He’s one of the names that we keep seeing and monitoring. Let’s see what will be next.”
With Adam Idah sidelined through injury, Swansea are actively exploring options to strengthen the squad.
Rak-Sakyi fits the profile of a player who can add depth and energy to the attack, and talks are understood to be progressing well.
A loan move could be completed before the January window closes, giving Rak-Sakyi the chance to make his mark in the Championship and provide the Swans with an exciting boost for the remainder of the season.
