Joel Piroe excelled for Leeds United last season, winning the golden boot, but has lacked game-time so far this campaign.

Last season Leeds United had an incredible campaign.
In the season, they accumulated 100 points on their way to the Championship title, scoring 95 goals in the process.
Spearheading their title win was Joel Piroe. The Dutchman scored 19 goals and provided 7 assists, winning the Golden Boot in the process.
However, his start to this season in the topflight hasn’t been anywhere near as successful. The 26-year-old started the first three games of the season but has seen very little gametime since then.
This is hardly his fault considering the incredible form of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but it does mean that Piroe’s immediate future could lie away from Elland Road.
So where could he spend the remainder of the campaign?
Middlesbrough are having a fantastic season so far. They currently sit 2nd in the league, and it’s suddenly looking like they could make a bid for the title.
Only Adam Armstrong has more Championship goals this season than Morgan Whittaker, but Borough’s next top goalscorers after him only have 3 goals each to their names.
If they want their title aspirations to become a reality, Middlesbrough could really do with a more consistent number nine.
Divin Mubama made a solid start to life at Stoke City, scoring in his first two games and bagging a hat trick in early November.
However, the 21-year-old hasn’t scored since.
Bringing Joel Piroe in would take the weight off of the young striker’s shoulders and give him someone to learn from.
Stoke find themselves in a similar situation to Middlesbrough, except swap Morgan Whittaker’s name for Sorba Thomas’s.
Stoke’s success this season has been built on a strong defence. The Potters have conceded the fewest goals in the division.
Acquiring Piroe’s services in could help them to reach the playoff spot which they are chasing.
Another team whose top goalscorer this season is a winger, Millwall are the joint 8th lowest scorers in the division.
When your top scoring striker only has five goals to his name in 24 league games, reinforcements are definitely needed.
This will be needed, especially if the Lions want to hold on to their playoff place.
