Stockport County have been linked with a move for a Bolton Wanderers defender as the Hatters look to strengthen their squad.

Stockport County are one of the sides aiming for success this season in League One.
The Hatters, who narrowly missed out on promotion last season, currently sit fourth in the division.
However, there is a four point gap between them and third-placed Bradford City currently, with the Bantams having a game in hand too.
If City were to win this game in hand, a seven point gap would emerge, making it more difficult for the Hatters to close the gap and to give themselves a chance of automatic promotion.
However, with the window now open, County may look to target players who could aid them as they look to close the gap to the three teams currently contesting automatic promotion.
Now, the side have been linked with a move for a Bolton Wanderers defender, as Stockport look to steal quality from a fellow League One outfit.
According to Alan Nixon, reporting on his Patreon page, Stockport County are looking into a move for Wanderers right-wing-back Josh Cogley.
Furthermore, the journalist has stated that County are keen on the defender, and that he is one of a select few that Bolton will let go in the window as Wanderers look to build their own promotion push.
Cogley joined Bolton Wanderers in 2023, and has made 124 appearances for the Whites whilst with the club.
However, following a 52-game season last campaign, the defender has struggled for game-time with right-back Jordi Osei-Tutu providing competition in the position.
Now, with these links emerging between Josh Cogley and Stockport County, fans may look towards the Hatters to see if they make a move in the coming weeks.
Furthermore, fans may look to see if either Steven Schumacher or Dave Challinor comments on the links or on the prospect of a completed deal in the transfer window.
