Leicester City make the short journey along the M69 for their derby against Coventry City on Saturday Afternoon.

The Foxes have had a mini resurgence with two victories in the last two games, against Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup and West Brom in the Championship.

They also beat Derby County at the end of December.

Vestergaard Is Back

In his pre match press conference Leicester City boss Marti Cifuentes confirmed that Jannik Vestergaard is back in contention after missing the Cheltenham cup game with an ankle injury.

“He just rolled his ankle in an unlucky situation. But he’s good, he’s been training with the team. He’s ready for Saturday.”

No Other Fresh Injury Concerns

The Foxes have just three players on the long-term injury list now.

Victor Kristiansen, Harry Soutar and Aaron Ramsey remain sidelined.

Aside from these three players, Harry Winks is expected to miss out as he seeks a move away from the club this transfer window.

Boubacara Soumare is expected to make a long awaited return after spending the last month and a half out with a knee injury.

Abdul Fatawu who is also the subject of speculation, is expected to play, despite interest from Premier League club Sunderland.

Fatawu saw red the last time the sides clashed as Coventry City ran out 3-1 winners.

A Tough Afternoon Incoming?

It could prove to be a long afternoon at the CBS arena for Leicester City.

The club sit in 12th position whereas the home team sit top of the Championship standings.

The Sky Blues have made their home a fortress losing just ONCE at home this season, and just FOUR defeats all campaign.

Coventry City Duo To Return

Coventry will be buoyed by the return of midfielder Victor Torp and forward Brandon Thomas-Asante.

It is also expected that Bobby Thomas will play despite being linked with a move to Premier League strugglers West Ham United.
