Lincoln City left-back Adam Reach has signed a new contract with the club, keeping him at the LNER Stadium until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Reach has been a revelation since signing in August from the free agents market. The Englishman has played 27 times for the Imps this season, scoring four goals and gaining the same amount of assists.

The 32-year-old has also played for Wycombe Wanderers, West Brom, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough and Preston North End. He gained three assists and two goals for Albion.

He scored 24 times whilst with Wednesday, gaining 32 assist as well. During his spell with Boro and Preston he score four and assisted a further three.

Quotes

Sporting director Jez George said: “I do not have to say anything about Adam as his performances this season speak for themselves. His influence off the pitch, the standards he sets daily and his quiet leadership has been equally important.

“Adam is a class act in every respect and we are delighted that he is committed to another 18 months with a mechanism to extend that still further.”

Reach said: “When I joined in the summer I always wanted it to be a longer-term thing and it was just about getting into the team and proving I was someone who was worth keeping around.

“I’ve settled in so well and that is credit to everyone at the club. Ultimately, you play your best football when you feel at home and that is exactly how I feel.”

This is the sort of new Imps fans will be delighted with ahead of the huge fixture against Bradford City tomorrow evening, as second play fourth at the LNER Stadium.

Can the Imps achieve this promotion that so many fans are dreaming of? Impossible is just an opinion, as a famous Imps manager once said!
