Leyton Orient winger Ethan Galbraith is set to complete a move to Swansea City for a reported fee of £1.5 million.
The Northern Ireland international had his medical on Wednesday and will be announced in the coming days.
The 24-year-old was a key part of Richie Wellens side, as they powered to the playoff final, only being stopped by Charlton Athletic, losing 1-0.
The versatile wide man played 51 times for Orient in 2024-25, scoring six goals and getting eight assists.
Galbraith can play anywhere down the right-hand side, or across the attacking midfield. For his national side, he has either deputised for Liverpool right back Conor Bradley or been utilised further up the pitch. Last season for his club side, the 24-year-old predominantly played at right wing back but was also placed in other areas, displaying that versatility.
The winger was a product of Manchester United’s youth academy, taking two loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and Salford City.
Galbraith made the permanent move away from Old Trafford in 2023, joining Orient, reuniting with his Doncaster boss Wellens in the process.
Since then, the player has been an ever-present in the team with fans and journalists suggesting it was a matter of time before Galbraith made the step up to the Championship.
Who May Replace Ethan Galbraith?
As one player leaves, Orient have confirmed their third signing of the summer, signing Reading defender Michael Craig.
The defender plays on the right side of defence and whilst less versatile, can be the replacement for the outgoing Galbraith.
The 22-year-old Craig played 35 times for Reading last seasonas the Royals narrowly missed out on the playoff spot that Orient would take.
The player has signed a two-year-deal and joins Killian Cahill and Demetri Mitchell through the door at Brisbane Road.
