League One side Lincoln City have announced a trio of players have signed new contracts with the club until 2027.

League One side Lincoln City have started the season remarkably well. The club currently sit in second place in the third tier.
If the form continues Michael Skubala’s side could be playing Championship football next season. Trips to the likes of Bramall Lane and Carrow Road could await.
The good news doesn’t stop there either with the Imps announcing a triple retention on Monday evening.
Club captain Tendayi Darikwa, midfield starlet Conor McGrandles and current in-form winger Reeco Hackett have all signed deals that run through until June 2027.
Club captain Darikwa has played 80 times for the club since signing in July 2024. In that time he has over 15 goal contributions, despite being a right-back.
This includes his double in the Imps last league game against Peterborough United. He also gained the Players Player of the Year and the Player of the Year during his debut season.
This is McGrandles second spell for the club after leaving for Charlton Athletic. Despite his stint with the Addicks, Conor has over 170 appearances for the Imps and has proved to be a solid defensive midfielder.
The Scot has missed just one game for Lincoln City this campaign, showing he is well loved by the management team and the fans alike.
Last but by no means least is in-form winger Reeco Hackett. The Saint Lucian is closing in on making 100 appearances for the Imps.
He has been on fire over the Christmas and New Year period scoring in games against Stockport County and Peterborough United.
In 21 games this season, the winger has scored six goals, assisting a further two.
Sporting Director Jez George said:
“We are looking to strengthen the group in this transfer window, but to do that we must also ensure that we do not weaken ourselves by losing any of our core senior players.”
“All three of the above fall into that bracket, all have been instrumental in our season to date, and all have a massive role to play for the remainder of this season.”
“Therefore, the club wanted to show them our commitment and provide them with certainty about their contracts beyond the end of this season before we embark on the second half of the season. “
“Following discussions with their respective representatives, we are delighted that we are all on the same page. We know the magnitude of the challenge ahead and we also know that Tendayi, Conor and Reeco are fundamental in what we are aiming to achieve.”
