Bradford City have been linked with a move for Newcastle United midfielder Joe White today.

According to Craig Hope, Bradford City are keen on a January loan move for Newcastle United midfielder Joe White.
As the Bantams look to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the season for a potential promotion push.
Now, with the move of the midfielder potentially happening, this article aims to give you an insight into the Newcastle player’s career so far and his statistics.
Joe White, who has been a part of Newcastle’s academy since the 2018/19 season, carried out his first loan spell of his career at Hartlepool United in the 2021/22 season, with him contributing to three assists in 16 appearances.
Furthermore, in the 2022/23 campaign, he went on to make a further 16 appearances on loan at Exeter City in League One.
After this, he had another loan stint at League Two side Crewe Alexandra in the 2023/24 season, with White scoring three goals and three assists in 25 appearances.
The following season, the 23-year-old stayed at parent club Newcastle, making 4 appearances in the Premier League.
Last season white scored six goals and picked up two assists in 35 appearances for League Two side MK Dons.
This season, before his loan was cut short at League One side Leyton Orient, he managed to make 6 appearances in all competitions.
This is still classed as League One experience that can arguably help Graham Alexander’s side potentially be promoted to the EFL Championship.
The 23-year-old could potentially add a clear playmaking ability to the Bantams.
This judgment comes because the midfielder has assisted multiple times in previous seasons, especially during his time in League Two.
Throughout his loan spell at MK Dons, his statistics show that he had an 84.1% successful pass rate and a 43.3% accurate long ball rate.
Furthermore, White had 29 touches in opposition boxes during his loan spell at MK Dons.
This could be especially useful in crossing situations and scenarios where the ball is played to him, which are included in Bradford’s gameplay.
It can be argued that Graham Alexander’s side, on occasions throughout the start of the campaign, have lacked depth and quality in attacking midfield options.
With academy graduate Bobby Pointon being injured more than once this campaign, and ‘Promotion King’ Antoni Sarcevic having arguably limited rest with him making 24 appearances so far.
Furthermore, some people could argue that the 23-year-old suits the Bantams playstyle of attacking football and high pressing, with him holding a forward thinking a good dribbling ability.
However, questions could arise about his lack of game time so far this season with Leyton Orient, which could mean that White may not be fully fit and able to hit the ground running straight away.
Which the Bantams need this in their tough run of fixtures in January, with them facing Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town and Lincoln City.
With these factors considered, White is potentially a great addition for the Bantams as they look to carry on their pursuit of promotion.
However, with his limited minutes for Leyton Orient, could his impact be limited?
