Luke And Rob Predicts- Sat 5th April

Hello and welcome to our second edition of Luke and Rob Predicts where we predict five of the best EFL fixtures from each league on a weekly basis giving our opinions, interlinking statistical knowledge and giving our prediction for the games themselves. Join us as we predict four games across League One and League Two and one from the Championship on Saturday the 5th of April.

Championship-

West Bromwich Albion vs Sunderland

Rob:

In the early kick off on Saturday, West Brom in 6th host 4th placed Sunderland as both teams look to return to the top flight. The visitors have a 15 point gap over the home side but the West Midlands outfit also have a few teams around them also picking up points. This is anybody’s.

Rob Predicts- West Brom 2 Sunderland 1

Luke:

6thย and 4thย meet in the early kick off in the Championship on Saturday with Albion looking to regain form ahead of the run-in whilst the Black Cats are looking to build on their excellent form which has seen them pick up 4 wins in 5. With the momentum and high scoring nature of Sunderland, I can see the away side picking up a win even with the fight of the home side to try and regain their own form.

Luke Predicts โ€“ West Bromwich Albion 1-3 Sunderland

League One

Wrexham vs Burton Albion

In another early kick off, second placed Wrexham host relegation candidates Burton Albion in a game I can only see going one way, if Burton do win this, then you’re welcome haha!

Rob Predicts- Wrexham 3 Burton 0

Huddersfield Town vs Mansfield Town-

In the battle of the ‘Town’s’.. neither side are in form, both winning just 2 of their last 6 with Huddersfield offering barely anything in their last game against Lincoln, not even managing a shot on target. Mansfield also lost, at home to Charlton, 2-1.

Rob Predicts- Huddersfield 2 Mansfield 0

League Two โ€“

Walsall v Port Vale โ€“

In one of the early kick-off fixtures in League Two, 1st and 3rd meet in the form of Walsall and Port Vale. Walsall look to win their first in 9 whilst Port Vale look to build on a commanding 2-0 win against Bradford on Tuesday evening. Given the momentum Vale have and the form Walsall are looking to rebuild, I can see a tight away win for the Valiants.

Lukeโ€™s Prediction โ€“ Walsall 1-2 Port Vale

Cheltenham v Doncaster Rovers โ€“

In the other early kick-off, Cheltenham and Doncaster meet with the home side looking to bounce back from a defeat to Morecambe on Tuesday evening whilst Doncaster look to build on the point they earned against Walsall that same evening. Given the nature and momentum of both sides, I can see a high scoring affair although think Rovers will come out on top.

Lukeโ€™s Prediction โ€“ Cheltenham 2-3 Doncaster Rovers
