Luton Town are in talks to sign a Norwegian star from KFUM!

It is being reported by various outlets in Norway that Luton are in talks to sign midfielder Sverre Sandal in the closing hours of the transfer window.
Sandal plays for KFUM in Oslo, and he starred for the club as they finished 12th in the Eliteserien last season.
Sandal recorded three goals and three assists during the season, starting 25 of the 26 matches he appeared in.
He played over 2000 minutes in the season, showing that he can be available on a regular basis if he makes the move to Kenilworth Road.
The sporting director of KFUM was approached to comment on the rumours by TV 2 in Norway, to which he responded “No Comment”, potentially showing there could be a deal to be done for the young midfielder.
Sandal is only 22, meaning he would give youth to an ageing Luton midfield, especially after the departure of young Spanish star Lamine Fanne earlier in the window.
It is believed that several Norwegian clubs have held interest in Sandal, however Luton seem to have leapfrogged these teams to secure Sandals signature.
He may be lacking in match fitness, as the Eliteserien season is finished, therefore he would be joining Luton in what he would normally see as pre season, instead being thrown straight into a promotion race with the Hatters.
Sandal only has one year left on his contract with KFUM Oslo, meaning a move away from the club is likely to occur in either this window or in summer, where it will be the middle of the season in Norway.
Sandal gives a profile of player that Luton don’t have in midfield, as he is 6’3!
He is also a threat for goals and assists, having got six combined last season for KFUM.
Sverre Sandal will be dangerous from set pieces for Luton too, as he will comfortably be one of the tallest players on the pitch when he plays.
He will also give depth in midfield, as it looks like Marvelous Nakamba is set to leave the club and join Sheffield Wednesday.
This coupled with Davy Van Den Berg signing will signify two in and two out in midfield for Luton in the closing stages of the window, with Lamine Fanne and Nakamba going the opposite direction.
