Luton Town are in advanced talks to sign a former Manchester United youngster as deadline day heats up!

According to Scott Burns, Luton are interested in signing Dylan Levitt from Hibernian.

It is unclear whether it will be a loan deal or a permanent signing, however this makes it clear that Luton are targeting another midfielder before the window closes.

Deadline day has already seen one midfielder heavily linked with a move away from Kenilworth Road, with Marvelous Nakamba being heavily linked to Sheffield Wednesday.

Sunday night also saw Lamine Fanne leave Luton, meaning there is space for Luton to sign a midfielder.

Luton have been linked to multiple midfielders on deadline day, including Leighton Clarkson, Sverre Sandal, Luca Connell and Davy Van Den Berg.

It appears that deals for Clarkson and Connell are off, however this could still change.

Scott Burns hasn’t confirmed whether the deal for Clarkson is going to happen or not, but did confirm Luton’s interest in the midfielder.

However other sources have claimed this deal is off due to Aberdeen’s valuation of the player.

Van Den Berg looks set to join Luton, with the deal being described as “almost certain” to happen.

Levitt has struggled to break into the Hibs team this season, with his last start for the club coming in September.

Other sources in Scotland have claimed that the former Manchester United youngster is in advanced talks with Luton, making the deal likely to happen.

What could Levitt bring to Luton?

Levitt would bring another option to Luton’s midfield, giving much needed depth in a position where Luton are currently light on options.

He is also 25, being much younger than other options in Luton’s midfield, with the youngest current midfielder being Liam Walsh at 28.

Levitt would also bring creativity into Jack Wilshere’s possession based football, something Luton need as the window closes.

The signing of Levitt would also mean Kasey Palmer or Jordan Clark could play higher up the pitch as a number ten, which they are both more suited to than central midfield.
