Michail Antonio has become a fan favourite at West Ham United but now looks set for a Championship move in the upcoming window.

Michail Antonio hasn’t been able to find a club since being released by West Ham United at the end of last season.
But it has recently been revealed that the 35-year-old has been training with Championship outfit Leicester City.
It will be great to see Antonio back on the pitch regularly once again. The forward was involved in an awful car crash in December last year but made his return to the field in the summer.
Antonio came on as a substitute for Jamaica in the closing stages of a game against Guatemala.
He would also go onto make a handful of appearances for West Ham’s U21 side, scoring two goals in his first domestic game back.
At the end of last season, Jamie Vardy left Leicester City after 13 years at the club and he was never properly replaced.
Replacing Vardy was always going to be a near impossible task, but the Foxes efforts left something to be desired.
Argentine Julian Carranza was loaned in from Eredivisie side Feyenoord. Although prolific in the MLS, Carranza only scored five goals in 30 games in Holland last season.
At the King Power, he has only been afforded three Championship starts and is yet to score. Veteran Jordan Ayew has been handed the main responsibility for replacing Vardy’s goals.
He has only found the net in the Championship four times this season, being outscored by midfielder Jordan James. Patson Daka has been introduced from the bench more often than not but has only managed to score once.
Vardy ended up signing for newly promoted Serie A side Cremonese. They currently sit 11th in the division, 6 points behind 5th place Juventus.
Vardy has scored 4 goals in 9 starts and was recently awarded Player of the Month.
Leicester moving for Antonio makes a lot of sense. They undoubtedly need a more reliable goalscorer if they want to return to the Premier League.
Antonio scored 83 goals during his 10 years at West Ham, becoming a fan favourite in East London. Daka will be off to AFCON soon so Antonio will provide some much-needed cover for the Zambian.
However, with the two clubs still in discussions over a potential deal, attention from fans could turn to the sides to see if the striker makes with the switch.
