Nahki Wells Makes Important Transfer Decision

Nahki Wells has decided that, if possible, he would like to play in the EFL Championship next season. Wells, 35, played his football in the EFL Championship with Bristol City last season.

The Bermudan’s former clubs Bradford City and Huddersfield Town had been linked with a move for the experienced striker. But, with this report by Alan Nixon, a move to either of two clubs now looks unlikely.

Nahki Wells’ 2024-25 Season

As previously mentioned, the striker played his football at Bristol City last season. Whilst with the Ashton Gate outfit, he was able to make 39 appearances. Furthermore, he was able to score on ten occasions whilst assisting a further four times.

Wells had been offered a new contract by Bristol City. However, he turned this down meaning he will leave Bristol at the end of this month.

Wells’ Good Attributes

Through using the striker’s 2024-25 season, we are able to identify many of the 35 year old’s good qualities.

The first of these is his shooting skills. Last season, he was able to take 56 shots with 26 of these being on target. Furthermore, as mentioned, he was able to score on ten occasions. This proves the 35 year old’s ability to execute chances well.

As well as this, the Bermuda international’s on the ball statistics are impressive. This is because he was able to execute 18 successful dribbles. Furthermore, he was able to create 21 chances whilst executing 4 successful crosses. This proves that when the striker is on the ball, he is able to make the most of it.

This two qualities are arguably essential for a modern day striker. And, with Wells’ ability to execute both of these well, you can see why the 35 year old would like to stay in the EFL Championship.
