Newport County

Founded in 1912, Newport County are a historic club based in South Wales, nicknamed “The Exiles” and playing their home matches at Rodney Parade. After facing bankruptcy in 1989 and reforming under supporter ownership, the club returned to the Football League in 2013. County’s rich history includes a Welsh Cup victory in 1980 and a famous quarter-final run in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1981. Now competing in League Two, Newport County carry a legacy of resilience, community spirit, and memorable moments both on and off the pitch.
