Peterborough United confirmed the news on their official website as they look to hand opportunities to more players.

Patryk Sykut is an 18-year-old Polish-Ukrainian playing for the Peterborough United youth teams.
He joined the Posh in 2023/24 and has since played 71 games between the youth teams netting 14 times but has yet to feature in a senior game.
Sykut commonly plays in the ten role utilizing his impressive on the ball skills to chip in with several goals and assists.
He also impressed for Peterborough Under-18s against Manchester United Under-18s in the FA Youth Cup Third Round at Old Trafford.
Patryk Sykut stated on the official Peterborough website: “Playing at Old Trafford in the Youth Cup was a brilliant experience for me and for all of the squad. It gives you a taste of what is required at the highest level.
“I am looking forward to the second half of the campaign, we are in a great position in the league within the Under-21 group.”
Sykut was a big part of keeping the Posh’s FA Youth Cup hopes alive managing to keep the scoreline at 1-0 to Manchester United.
Academy Director Dan Robinson said: “It is fantastic to see another one of our players coming through the schoolboy programme and then progressing into the youth team and doing so well.
“Patryk has been rewarded for his efforts and it is another great example of the pathway for our players here at Peterborough United.”
Under 21s boss Sam Gaughran added: “Patryk’s contract is fully deserved.
“In the last year, he has really kicked on, at the start when he first came into the full-time environment it took him a little while to find his feet, but he is someone who affects games every week.
“He can do stuff that other players can’t and has a great attitude, so hopefully he has a bright future.”
@Bob_Horne23 : “Excellent news! Top player in the academy this season.”
@roby_teed: “Will play for the first team before the end of the season. We’ve got some serious serious talent coming through, the tent ain’t doing too bad after all.”
@aw7794: “Make no mistake, this lad is a BALLER.”
@ChazMcPosh: “Thrilled about this. For all the talk about Bolu and Mendonca (who are both great), it has been Pat who has impressed me most during the U18 games I have watched this season.
“A real talent that I’m sure @DMAC102 (Darragh MacAnthony) will be glad to have tied down.”
